Trama: Terry Lee, militare dell'aviazione statunitense, va in Asia per rivendicare i suoi diritti su una miniera d'oro ereditata dal nonno; qui avverra` l'incontro con l'avvenente Dragon Lady e i suoi uomini.

Prima di questa trasposizione cinematografica, "Terry and the pirates" debutto` come serial radiofonico: prima nel 1937, sponsorizzato da Dari-Rich, ma interrotto dopo due anni; in seguito nel 1941 sponsorizzato da Libby. Alcuni episodi di questi serial radiofonici sono disponibili in download nel sito www.otr.com.

Nel 1952 segui` invece un serial televisivo di 18 episodi.
